My worry was that as I was looking for this late in the afternoon on the Saturday before New Year's Day I did not know how I could be sure to get the gift by the next Thursday in time for our lunch on Friday. I searched online and finally found the one I wanted at House of Claddagh. I wanted to give them 4 stars because I don't want them to become complacent, but that wouldn't be fair. It's so good that when we have visitors from up north, we bring them here. Since Monday was New Year's Day, the order would go out early on Tuesday and reach me by Thursday.
Very clean inside and out. I searched online and finally found the one I wanted at House of Claddagh. They have a nice patio with umbrellas to keep the sun off. The ornament was packed so well that it could have been dropped from the Golden Gate Bridge and survived unharmed. The perfect gift arrived on Thursday.
The door was open so some smoke did make it's way inside. And did I mention the exceptional jewelry of Ireland? The only negatives were the bartender seemed to talk in an 'outdoor' voice all of the time. You would never make it outsude of shithole pasco. Met a friend for dinner. I had a Half and Half. The whole process felt like I had gone to sleep and dreamed I was shopping in an Irish thatched-roof cottage, having tea and a good chat, and waking up to find exactly what I wanted in my hand. If ever you want to take out of towners to a local spot, it doesn't get anymore local than here.

My friend was already there and scored us a corner high top. The first impression was it looked fun and very Irish. My friend got the fish and chips it was perfectly crispy sooo good! Antipasti was 3 or 4 shriveled, cold, pieces of grilled veggie with dressing on it. Watched as the waitress served the regulars.
She said that she could take my order over the phone, but I felt I had already wasted enough of her Saturday night she is three hours ahead of me and I placed my order on line. It was a large salad plenty of field greens, apples, nuts, cranberries etc. Lots of great gift ideas and fun products. It's more expensive than cod, but it's a better quality fish. Trish was very efficient, not overly friendly; the bar was doing a good business; but, it wasn't very busy.
If ever you want to take out of towners to a local spot, it doesn't get anymore local than here. Sorry but I opted for the orchard salad as the waitress described in detail and made it sound delish. You get what you pay for. I chose the irish chili which was thick and filling. They have a great staff, a kitchen that cares enough to turn out good food, and reasonably priced drinks. Service was gold but the server we did have had an attitude when we asked questions but that's easily fixable! The service was beyond poor.

They also placed business orders this many vodkas, this many ciders right smack beside us while we were trying to enjoy a meal. We visit about once per week - retirees do things like that. This was Emily, one of the owners, and she talked with me at length, explaining the shipping process, chatting with me about Irish china, pottery, and ornaments, and reassuring me about my getting my order on time. They make fresh soups, and the chili is always good.

Prices are reasonable and the staff is friendly. This is the place to go for authentic Irish jewelry, gifts for the home, perfume - almost anything from Ireland! The jewelry is high quality and has not tarnished and I've worn my ring every day for the past 5 years! I love this bar and plan on continuing to go as a regular.
